It says in the title that it's an induction cooktop, but it's not. It's a 2 burner infrared electric cooktop. So this cooktop gets very hot to the touch, whereas an induction cooktop doesn't. So you'll need to be careful not to burn yourself, and you'll need to let this cool down, before you can move it safely. The plus is that this works for all cookware, whereas an induction only works with magnetic steels.For usage,There's a power button for each burner. When you turn a knob to power on a burner, you can hear a fan noise from underneath. This fan will stay on, even if you turn off the burners, and will remain on until the cooktop is cool.The outside perimeter of the burner areas don't get very hot.The cooktop is large enough for 2 saucepans that are 8 inches and under. You could put a 10" or larger frying pan on it, but then you won't be able to use the other burner.With a watt meter, I tested the electrical consumption.The 7-inch burner used about 1200 watt at max setting.The 6-inch burner used about 800 watts at max setting.What I love:The cooktop has an easy to clean, smooth surface.Overall, it's not what I was expecting, but I may find some uses for it. For me, this would make a nice outdoor camping stove, because it's portable, and operates with a standard 3 prong electrical plug, but with the 7" burner maxing at 1200 watts, it's not powerful enough to be my everyday cooktop. So I'm still wanting a single burner induction cooktop that's about 1800 watts.
