I'm impressed. This cooktop was perfect to replace the cookstove on my boat. Well built and very easy to clean. Had a power glitch that caused it to not work properly. Just unplugged it and re plugged it in and it is back to perfect. It has a slower heating speed than a household range but they are 240v instead of 120v. We are very satisfied with it.
I have been worried about this purchase which was for a studio apartment I built inside my barn. The kitchen is finally installed and the stovetop looks great! I filled a 1.5qt pot with hot water and waited to see how long it took to boil. Six minutes! I can live with that! Great purchase!
this is a very well made cooktop. it has a nice glass top on it with a metal base. cooling fans come on after a minute or so. The heating element interface shows up in numbers but you can switch it to degrees. The controls take a bit of getting used to. This thing does draw a lot of current on the mid to high settings and it could trip circuit breakers depending upon where it's plugged in. I would not plug it into a strip that's almost a guaranteed circuit trip. This is a very nice cooktop for the money, and I'd recommend it.
